Our Projects
Make Your Own Kind of Music
What: Music Tuition
Who: S1-S4 Pupils
Where: ASL Schools in Glasgow
We design workshops that develop musical and social skills. There is an emphasis on communication, numeracy/literacy, and the development of self-confidence. We provide accessible musical instruments so that everyone can participate in our sessions and enjoy being a member of the band. At the end of a term, participants showcase what they’ve been working on at a school performance for staff, families and peers.
Want your school to get involved? Email us! Recently we have worked with: Middlefield School, Hollybrook Academy, Abercorn Secondary School, Ashton Secondary School, Hazelwood School, Linburn Academy, Newhills Secondary School.
Move On Up
What: Play and develop skills in a band
Who: School leavers and young adults
Where: Berkeley 2 Studios
The project focuses on groups of 6-8 young people working together, with each member taking on a clear identity e.g. drummer; vocalist; keyboards etc. Participants collaborate and perform, developing musical skills and also social and collaborative skills as they take the lead in designing a programme of musical activity for their band. Participation in this project helps young people to develop important social and life skills to help them navigate leaving school and transitioning to young adulthood.

musicALL Presents…
What: Support for bands to perform to wider audiences
Who: Move On Up graduates
Where: Berkeley 2 Studios
We support musicians who have graduated through our Move On Up programme to become performing musicians, writing and recording their own music and performing at high-profile venues. We arrange performances for these bands, support them to design a set list, to rehearse for the gig, and ensure that they are comfortable pre- and during performance. We also arrange songwriting and recording sessions for the bands and work alongside them to support the creative process.
